We have group classes for adults in Swing, Salsa, Samba, Belly Dancing, Bachata, Hip Hop, Ballroom, etc. Check our list posted below. Teens 13 or over can participate in the Adults class with the supervision or participation of a family member who is 18 or over (parent's preferred). Bachata
Bachata: A form of music and dance that originated in the countryside and the rural neighborhoods of the Dominican Republic. Its subjects are often romantic. The dance is a four-step beat achieved with a walking Cuban hip motion, and a unique “pop”. The dance is performed both in open position and in closed position depending on the setting and mood of the partners.

Ballroom
Ballroom: Refers to a set of partner dances, which are enjoyed both socially and competitively around the world. Because of its performance and entertainment aspects, ballroom dance is also widely enjoyed to almost any type of social dancing as recreation. However, with the emergence of dance sport in modern times, the term has become narrower in scope. It usually refers to the International Standard and International Latin style dances. In the United States, two additional variations are popular: American Smooth and American Rhythm.

Belly Dancing
Belly Dancing: Is a translation of the French "danse du ventre" which was applied to the dance in the Victorian era. It is something of a misnomer as every part of the body is involved in the dance; the most featured body part usually is the hips. Belly dance takes many different forms depending on country and region, both in costume and dance style, and new styles have evolved in the West as its popularity has spread globally. Although contemporary forms of the dance have generally been performed by women, some of the dances, particularly the cane dance, have origins in male forms of performance.

Contemporary Modern
Contemporary Modern: Is a genre of concert dance (which is performed to an audience) that employs compositional philosophy, rather than choreography, to guide unchoreographed movement. It uses dance techniques and methods found in ballet, modern dance and postmodern dance, and it also draws from other philosophies of movement that are outside the realm of classical dance technique.

Hip Hop
Hip Hop Dance: Refers to dance styles primarily danced to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. This includes a wide range of styles notably breaking, locking, and popping which were developed in the 1970s by Black and Latino. What separates hip-hop dance from other forms of dance is that it is often freestyle (improvisational). Hip-Hop dance may only be a form of entertainment or a hobby. To others it has become a lifestyle: a way to be active in physical fitness or competitive dance and a way to make a living by dancing professionally.

Salsa
Salsa: Is a syncretic dance form with origins from Cuba, as the original meeting point of European and African cultures. Its movements originate in Cuban Son, with strong influences from Mambo, Guaguanco, and other Afro-Cuban music. Salsa is normally a partner dance, although there are recognized solo forms, line dancing (suelta), and Rueda de Casino where groups of couples exchange partners in a circle. Salsa can be improvised or performed with a set routine.

Samba
Samba: Is a Brazilian dance and musical genre originating in Africa. It is recognized around the world as a symbol of Brazil and the Brazilian Carnival. Considered one of the most popular Brazilian cultural expressions, together with Sertanejo, samba has become an icon of Brazilian national identity.

Samba Axe
Samba Axé: is a solo dance that started in 1992 during the Brazilian Carnival season inBahiawhen theAxérhythm replaced theLambada. For years it became the major type of dance for the North east of Brazil during the holiday months. The dance is completely choreographed and the movements tend to mimic the lyrics. It's a very energetic kind of dance that mixes elements of Samba no pé and aerobics and because of the lyrics, which are made for entertainment, the dance generally has some sort of ludic element.

Zumba
Zumba: is a Latin dance-inspired fitness program created by dancer andchoreographerAlberto "Beto" Perez in Colombia during the 1990s. Zumba involvesdanceandaerobicelements.
